Free Fitness Orientations
During this time a Personal Trainer will screen you for any possible health limitations.
A questionnaire will be completed to find out your areas of interest. From this information the Trainer will put together an individualized fitness program to fit your needs, goals and desires. Exercise clothing should be worn for this program.
Areas that could be addressed include:
- Weight/Fat loss
- Body conditioning
- Cardiovascular endurance
- Nutrition counseling
- Specific sport training
- Weight gain
Body Composition Testing
Testing is free for members. Testing is administered in the Fitness Office by the Personal Trainers. The measurement is performed on one bicep and the entire procedure takes less than 5 minutes. Body Composition is one of the basic components of measuring fitness level and should be included in your health goals. We encourage all members ( 16 & over) to participate in this program. Appointments are not necessary. Please contact a Personal Trainer or check with the Front Desk.
Nutrition Classes
These free classes are designed to educate persons desiring to improve their nutrition. The class format is casual and the information will be given in a very light and simple way. Classes are offered once each month. Days and times are available at the Front Desk. Please sign up for this program at the Front Desk. These classes will be educational and Fun!
Junior Fitness (6th-8th grade)
This program is available to children in Junior High (6-8 grade). These classes are 2 hours in length including very informative instructions on warm-ups, stretching, weight training, abdominal exercises, cardiovascular training, and nutrition. There will be a $10 one-time fee. Upon completion of this class, the participant will receive a name tag, a certificate. The Junior Pass entitles the holder to participate in the Fitness Center at all available junior times with no adult supervision. Junior schedule for cardiovascular equipment is Monday- Friday 3:30 PM-5:30 PM and Saturday -Sunday 12PM - 4PM. The same topics included in the adult programs will be addressed in the junior class.
